Does Alarm On Samsung Jiace Work If Phone Is Off

   I don't know if this is a problems in ICS 4.0.4 or I am but a complete tool.

   Basically when I prepare an alert, it will only go off if the phone is on. If I turn off the telephone, the warning fourth dimension comes and goes and the phone stays off and doesn't make a peep.

   This is a terrible issue (and issues, if information technology's one) since many people turn off their telephone before bed. I'chiliad hoping this is a uncomplicated setting or configuration.

   If the phone is off....its off.

   This isnt a issues. The phone needs to be on to have the warning become off.

   Why do you close off the phone before bed?

3. Practise you hateful you are holding the power button until the phone shuts off??

   If you are... there is not an android phone (or iphone) that will turn itself back on from a complete ability downward for an alarm.

   Maybe I'chiliad misunderstanding you.

   Are you sure? Blackberry devices turn on when you lot fix the alarm, and I would exist shocked if BB has this characteristic but Android doesn't.

   Yes, I'm turning off the telephone completely. Blackberry devices had a feature that let you set an alert, turn off the telephone, and so the telephone would automatically plow back on when the warning went off.

6. Non sure why you needed two threads for this? But android does non... I never knew my blackberry (work phone) did that. Only tested it though and yup it turns itself back on.

   Why do you demand to turn your phone off at nighttime?

    Well, I normally shut it down to save battery and not get woken up by sound notifications. I guess I could put it in airplane mode. Thanks.

    No problem. I went ahead and merely merged the two threads since there was support beingness offered in both of them.

    If yous put information technology in silent mode the alarm should notwithstanding get off. Exam this before relying on it!

    I had a blackberry Curve for 2 years and I guarantee you that when it was *off*, it missed all alarms. The phone could be comatose or in standby(i.e) screen timed out, or even be in airplane mode and the alarms would work, but androids and iphones are the same.

14. On my Gnex the notification volume is separate from the alarm volume command. And then you can set your notications to silent and still take your alarm book turned on. I would imagine it is the same on the GS3... but I don't take my nevertheless to confirm.

    If you become into settings, sounds, then click volumes you can check.

    Who said annihilation about removing the battery? I'grand talking about merely shutting downward the phone

18. I remember the onetime Samsung D500 & D600's has an option for "ability on warning" that let you have the telephone off and the alarms would withal go off, wasn't just the blackberries. Lovely feature that was, I do miss it sometimes.

    The reason why blackberries do it. Is because you can't really turn information technology off. Its merely in a deep slumber if you hold the ability button.

20. No demand,to put it in airplane mode. But ready the telephone face downwards on a flat surface. Information technology will automatically go into silent fashion. Warning should even so audio though.

21. Actually it doesn't. The matter about blackberry devices that you need to know is that there is no off push on most. What looks like the off button actually just puts it into standby, similar a goggle box.

    Ha I was getting excited thinking that they had added that feature. I owned a BB before my Android and when I learned that the phone had to stay on, I was devastated. Similar what, that makes no sense only I'm used to it at present.

23. Nah. You'll notice if you plow on a blackberry with the "on/off" button it takes 15 seconds to "boot" but if yous practice a battery pull, information technology takes minutes.

25. There is an app in the "play store" called timeriffic that can be set up automatically turn off the volume/turn on aeroplane mode/lots of other cool stuff at certain times. That way you can go out the alarm volume cranked upwardly merely turn everything else down so y'all don't go woken up.
